THE HISTORY

Gran Toro Oro Trading Corporation is a duly-organized corporation operating in the Philippines since July 5, 2012. It is a family-owned corporation engaged in the importation and trading of various automotive and motorcycle related products since the early 1970’s. GTO services more than 6000 direct clients all over the country, which includes malls, retailers, end users, corporate clients, wholesalers, repair shops, car dealers, auto supplies, shipping companies and more.

1970’s • Metro Manila Automotive Sales was founded in 1972, conquering the VIZMIN market on take-off. First brands to carry are Whiz, Gold Eagle, KNW, Hella, Plastic Coat and Orelube

1980’s • There were changes in the company name as the operation continue to grow. Metro Manila Automotive Sales then became First Metro, Inter-Island Industrial Sales Corporation, Metro Gold and then to Gold Rush

1990’s • Kabignayan St. in Banawe became a new home for Gold Rush. The company became an avid affiliate and member of Association of Philippine Volunteer Fire Brigades, Inc.

2000’s • On July 5, 2012, Gran Toro Oro Trading was registered as the new company name. • Most the prominent brands joined the GTO line-up namely, Repsol, Aeropak, Lubrigold, Safeway, SRC Moto Tires, JTC, Silock, Osram, Michiba and Blaupunkt. • The Business Support Team was started, focusing mainly on Tele Sales and E-commerce
